Nepal Day 5

Well, that may have been the hardest day on the bike, ever in my life. We rode for about 5 hours. At over 10,000 feet. I use the term ride loosely. We were on the steepest stuff, both up and down, that I have ever been on. And loose. There was plenty of pushing. But it was an experience that won’t be forgotten.

The weather continues to impress. Cold evenings but intensely sunny and feeling quite warm. The sun is super intense at this elevation. Thank God for sunscreen as otherwise I would be fried.

You certainly notice the lack of oxygen as well – it is like there is no oxygen.

Today we rode from Kagbani back to Jomsom. Our planned route was still snow covered so we used an alternate. It was rough. But everyone did well and survived with minimal damage.
